Shri Guru Charan Padma (also known as Sri Guru Vandana) is a deeply revered Bengali bhajan composed by the great Vaisnava saint, Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura. It expresses profound gratitude and devotion toward the spiritual master (Guru). 

While the full song features ten verses outlining the path of devotion, the first four verses are famously sung worldwide during the daily morning Guru Puja in ISKCON temples. 

Here are the lyrics in the original Bengali (transliterated into English script) alongside their meaningful essence:

śrī-guru-caraṇa-padma, kevala-bhakati-sadma,
bando muñi sāvadhāna mate
jāhāra prasāde bhāi, e bhava toriyā jāi,
kṛṣṇa-prāpti hoy jāhā ha'te 

Meaning: The lotus feet of the spiritual master are the absolute abode of pure devotional service. I offer my most respectful obeisances to those lotus feet with deep attention and reverence. My dear brothers, it is solely by his divine grace that we can cross the turbulent ocean of material existence and truly attain the shelter of Lord Krishna. 

guru-mukha-padma-vākya, cittete koribo aikya,
ār nā koriho mane āśā
śrī-guru-caraṇe rati, ei se uttama-gati,
je prasāde pūre sarva āśā 

Meaning: Let the words emanating from the lotus mouth of the spiritual master become completely one with your heart, and harbor no other desires separate from his instructions. Deep attachment to the feet of the Guru is the ultimate spiritual destination, for it is through his mercy that all pure spiritual desires are fulfilled. 

cakṣu-dān dilo jei, janme janme prabhu sei,
divya jñān hṛde prokāśito
prema-bhakti jāhā hoite, avidyā vināśa jāte,
vede gāy jāhāra carito 

Meaning: He who opens my darkened eyes with the gift of spiritual vision is my eternal lord, birth after birth. By his grace, divine knowledge is illuminated within the heart, awakening ecstatic love and destroying the darkness of ignorance. The timeless Vedic scriptures sing the glories of his divine character. 

śrī-guru karuṇā-sindhu, adhama janāra bandhu,
lokanāth lokera jīvana
hā hā prabhu koro doyā, deho more pada-chāyā,
ebe jaśa ghuṣuk tribhuvana 

Meaning: The spiritual master is a boundless ocean of mercy and a true companion to the fallen souls. He is the very life and guide of all people. O master! Please look upon me with kindness and grant me the safe shelter under the shade of your lotus feet. May your glorious pastimes and fame be sung throughout the three worlds.
